Ghana Launches Green TVET Initiative for Renewable-Energy and Climate Jobs
The programme is integrating solar, climate-smart agriculture and sustainability into technical training.
Ghana has launched a Green TVET Initiative aimed at equipping young people with skills for renewable energy, climate-smart agriculture, sustainable construction and other emerging green industries. The Ghana TVET Service is implementing the programme with the International Labour Organization. Training for educators and investments in solar, digital infrastructure and climate-smart agricultural projects are part of the approach. The initiative will be judged by whether it produces employable skills, industry-recognised competencies and viable pathways into jobs and entrepreneurship.
