Zambian Opposition Leader Charged With Treason

Zambian opposition leader Brian Mundubile and his running mate, Makebi Zulu, have been charged with treason and remained in custody at Lusaka Central Police Station, according to Mundubile’s lawyer.

Lawyer Kambwa Aongola told Reuters that both men had been charged. The development followed Mundubile’s arrest on Thursday after police questioned him in connection with an alleged treason offence.
