Help & FAQs

Answers to the questions readers ask us most. If yours is not here, please contact us and we will respond.

Reading NewsRena

Is NewsRena free to read? Yes. Our journalism is free to read. If we introduce paid products in future, we will say clearly what is included and what remains free.

Why do some stories carry a source credit? Where a report is based on material from a news agency or another publisher, we say so. Attribution tells you the basis of the reporting; it is not an endorsement of the other site. See our External Linking Policy.

How do I find coverage of a country or subject? Use the navigation, the search box, or the Content Index, which lists every section we publish.

Accounts and newsletters

Do I need an account? No. An account lets you comment and save stories, and is required if you write for us.

How do I subscribe to a newsletter? Use the sign-up form in the footer. Every newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

I did not receive a password reset or confirmation email. Check your spam folder first, then contact us.

Accuracy and complaints

I have spotted an error. Tell us through Corrections and Complaints. We correct errors of fact promptly and openly.

I was reported on and want to respond. See Right of Reply.

How do you decide what to publish? Our published Editorial Standards govern sourcing, verification, fairness and the use of AI-assisted tools.
