The Nigerian Air Force says it has completed the local reassembly of two H125 helicopters at its base in Ikeja, Lagos State, with support from Airbus technical personnel. Daily Independent reported the announcement on 28 September.

The service described the work as an opportunity for its personnel to gain practical experience in supporting and maintaining the aircraft. Air Chief Sunday Kelvin Aneke said developing technical knowledge and support arrangements was part of sustaining the fleet.

The announcement concerns reassembly of delivered aircraft; it does not establish that the helicopters were manufactured in Nigeria. The Air Force said the platforms would support surveillance, mobility and other operations.
