Benue-Born Seember Shima Becomes New Super Falcons Media Manager

Benue-born sports broadcaster and journalist Seember Shima has taken up a new role as Media Manager of Nigeria’s senior women’s national football team, the Super Falcons.

Shima brings experience in broadcast journalism and sports communication to the position. She currently works with TVC and previously worked with Ray Power FM and AIT, where she was part of the team behind the popular Kakaki programme.

Her professional experience has included extensive work in broadcasting and journalism, alongside a strong interest in women’s football.

As Media Manager, Shima will be responsible for coordinating the Super Falcons’ media activities and strengthening communication between the team, journalists, supporters and the wider public.

Her duties will include coordinating press conferences, interviews and media sessions, facilitating media access and providing journalists with official information concerning the team.

She will also support communication around the players, coaching staff, matches, training sessions and other team activities.

A significant part of her new assignment will involve the team’s digital and social media communication. This will include sharing timely information, highlighting the stories of the players and team, promoting the Super Falcons and helping to strengthen their connection with Nigerian football supporters.

Shima is also expected to work closely with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), coaching staff, players and accredited media organisations to ensure that information from the team is properly coordinated and communicated.

She begins her assignment as the Super Falcons prepare for their upcoming international engagements, including their 2028 Olympic qualifying campaign against Comoros.

Shima is a graduate of Mass Communication from Rev. Fr. Moses Adasu University, Makurdi.

Her appointment marks a new chapter in her broadcasting career and places her at the centre of the media operations surrounding one of Nigeria’s most prominent national sports teams.

NewsRena congratulates Seember Shima on her new appointment and wishes her success in her role with the Super Falcons.
