Osun State says it has held talks with Alive and Kicking Nigeria about a proposed football manufacturing operation at the state’s free trade zone. A government statement dated 27 September said Governor Ademola Adeleke met the company’s representatives in London.

According to the statement, the investors said a land application had been processed and preparations were underway for work at the allocated site. They also discussed a football academy and said a detailed talent-development proposal would be submitted.

The account describes investment discussions and preparations. It does not provide a factory opening date, confirmed production figures or evidence that the proposed academy is already admitting players.
