PZ Cussons Nigeria has proposed a N9.9 billion dividend for shareholders, marking a return to cash distributions after a multi-year pause. The company said it plans to pay N2.50 per share for the financial year ended May 31, 2026, subject to shareholder approval at its annual general meeting. The qualification date is scheduled for October 9, with payment planned for October 30. Shareholders may also be offered a share-based alternative. The proposed return follows a sharp improvement in the company’s financial position after years of foreign-exchange pressure. Premium Times reported that profit rose to N45.2 billion, supported significantly by asset-disposal proceeds, while turnover increased to about N260.5 billion. The development highlights how exchange-rate shocks and balance-sheet restructuring continue to shape the earnings recovery of Nigerian manufacturers.
