Adamawa group presses for remaining phase of Yola–Mubi road
The appeal focuses on trade, transport and access along the corridor towards Cameroon.
APC elders in northern Adamawa have asked the Federal Government to advance the remaining phase of the Yola–Mubi road project, The Guardian reported on 28 September. The group made the appeal in Mubi through spokesperson Mohammed Abubakar.
The Guardian reported that contractor AG Vision had completed a first section of about 52 kilometres and was awaiting the next phase. The elders described the route as important to commerce and movement between northern Adamawa and Cameroon.
The development reported is an appeal for further construction. It is not an announcement that the remaining contract has been awarded or that the entire corridor is complete.
