The Army says six members of one family were rescued during an attempted kidnapping in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State. In a separate operation, it reported a raid on a suspected armed-group camp at Karani in Gudu Local Government Area, Sokoto State.

PUNCH reported the account on 28 September, citing a statement issued on Sunday by 8 Division spokesperson Olaniyi Osoba. The Army said the six relatives were unharmed and taken to safety before reuniting with family members.

It also reported killing one suspected attacker and recovering a rifle during the Sokoto raid. These are military accounts; NewsRena has not independently established the circumstances of the operations.
