Maiduguri and Ediba schools receive classroom and digital-learning upgrades
Education boards describe Airtel-backed facilities and call for their maintenance.
Education officials in Borno and Cross River have welcomed school upgrades supported by the Airtel Africa Foundation, Techeconomy reported on 26 September.
At Gwange III Primary School in Maiduguri, the work included renovated classrooms, furniture, water and sanitation facilities and an ICT laboratory. Borno SUBEB chairman Bulama Kagu said coordinators would monitor the facilities and urged the school to maintain them.
Cross River’s basic education board also acknowledged similar work at Presbyterian Primary School in Ediba. The available account records facilities and officials’ assessments of them. It does not establish measured improvements in pupils’ attainment or long-term digital access.
