Kogi outlines digital tourism plans and Mount Patti proposal
Officials discussed online destination promotion, hotel profiling and investment at a World Tourism Day event.
Kogi officials have outlined plans to use digital services to promote tourism and connect visitors with accommodation and attractions. The News Agency of Nigeria reported the plans after a World Tourism Day event in Lokoja on 27 September.
Culture and Tourism Commissioner Fatima Momoh said the state was developing a tourism masterplan and considering a cable car at Mount Patti. The tourism board also described profiling hotels and using online platforms to promote destinations.
The cable car remains a proposal in the reported account. For visitors and businesses, practical progress would mean reliable destination information, clear standards and functioning services rather than an assumption that every announced project is already available.
