Tomato Jos has secured a $2.5 million investment through the EU-funded AgriFI initiative, according to a statement reported by Daily Independent on 28 September. EDFI Management Company provided the financing as a convertible note.

The planned spending includes packaging equipment, factory improvements and additional drip irrigation. The company says more than half of its raw materials currently come from smallholder farmers in Kaduna State.

Tomato Jos also outlined expansion targets for production and its farmer network by 2029. Those are future objectives, not results already achieved. The immediate development is financing intended to strengthen local tomato processing and reduce operating costs.
