Aondoakaa picks Dzever as Campaign DG

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Benue State, Chief Michael Kaase Aondoakaa, SAN, has appointed Dr Augustine Laha Dzever as Director-General of the Aondoakaa/Ogbenjuwa Campaign Organisation.

Dzever, who hails from Buruku Local Government Area, is the Chairman of the PDP G-14 and a former Chairman of the Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).

Announcing the appointment, Aondoakaa described Dzever as a tested leader and strategist with the experience to coordinate the campaign across the state.

According to the candidate, Dzever will be responsible for mobilising party members and supporters and taking the campaign’s “Benue First” message to communities across the state. He is also expected to liaise with the Strategic Alliance and the Rainbow Coalition.

Aondoakaa said the appointment reflects his campaign’s stated intention to bring experienced and credible individuals together in pursuit of its vision for what he described as a secure, prosperous and inclusive Benue.

He added that additional members of the campaign organisation would be announced following consultations with former Benue State Governor and PDP leader, Chief Samuel Ortom; Senate Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro; members of the State Executive Committee; and other stakeholders.

The PDP governorship candidate thanked the party’s leadership and members for their support while calling for continued unity within the party.

The appointment takes immediate effect.
